Why Do We Need More Energy?

I could not work better without a bunch of energy inside my body. I could not think the ideas clearly though I know what to write. But I could not ask my finger to type a proper sentence on a keyboard. That is why I would not write unless I had more energy.

We need energy in our life. Not only to support our sustainable life but also for our body. It means that we use energy for external and internal needs.

Now, I want to focus on our internal energy for our body. We need it in our daily life like fuel for our body. We get this energy from various activities like sleeping, exercising, and eating. These three things are simple but provide more life energy. Let me dissect it more deeply.

Sleep

“Sleep is the single most effective thing we can do to reset our brain and body health each day.” — Matthew Walker, PhD

Sleeping is easy. We tend to sleep when we feel sleepy or tired. We also do not need a difficult trick or technique to sleep. As simple as closing our eyes for a couple of hours.

However, there is a problem with sleeping. Some people cannot have a good time to sleep because of their task or job. They tend to sleep late at night to finish it. Unfortunately, when they wake up, they have less energy during the day. Then, it affects their productivity, willpower, and health.

Productivity means the state of quality in producing something.
Willpower means our sense of pushing our effort.
Health is the engine of our body.

When those three things are unable to be processed, we will feel helpless. We cannot operate our bodies without good health. Without willpower, we do nothing. Without productivity, we are just busy and tired.

Then, the solution is we have to take a better nighttime sleep for 7–8 hours. It means we have to finish our task or job earlier before we go to bed.

Exercise

According to Magnalena Cadet, a board-certified rheumatologist at NYU Langone, as written on Huffpost.com, “Being active has a profound impact on mental health by boosting and enhanching mental clarity and judgement.”

Exercise is my favorite activity in my life. I feel I can’t live better without doing exercise in a week. A week without exercise makes me weaker. A day of exercising makes me stronger mentally and physically.

However, not all people enjoy doing exercise because it takes time and effort to move. But that’s the art. Exercising is about movement. When we don’t like exercising, we avoid our body moving.

You may think that moving from one place to another place is a part of the exercise. But it’s different. It’s not only about moving but sweating. Doing exercise will make you produce sweat more than another activity.
Eat

Eat

As written on takingcharge.csh.umn.edu, an expert suggested to buy ‘whole foods’ such as fruits and vegetables, and skip processed foods, no matter how tempting and flashy their packaging may be.”

Eating is one of the needs in our life. Perhaps, we can live without sleeping or exercising for several days, but we cannot live without eating for some days. Without eating, we will lack lots of energy for life. So don’t avoid eating.

Meanwhile, foods are various. We can eat anything based on our ability to purchase foods. But, you can choose a good food or superfood. Superfoods like some kinds of fruit, vegetables, and grains are beneficial for your mind and body health.

Please choose the right food for a long-term and sustainable life.

You can prepare to sleep early, then wake up early in the morning, after that doing short exercise for 15 minutes or more, and then fulfill your body with good meals like grains, fruits, and vegetables.

Energy is a part of life. We need it to face a day to day life. Luckily, we can get it from simple things. Last but not least, don’t forget to sleep well, exercise well, and eat well.
