Rubiks Cube Philosophy
One day, I saw my friend playing a Rubik’s Cube. He tried to solve it again and again. It seems not easy for him. I said nothing to him, but I saw how he played it.
It made me curious. Then, I found how to play it well and fast. I watched a tutorial video. It shocked me a little bit cause there were some movement patterns that we could use to solve Rubik’s Cube. Aha! I think it would be easy if we master them.
So, I followed the tutorial till I could apply the patterns. I suddenly solved it faster and faster.
I thought the Rubik’s Cube was not only a toy. It was like a skill-based brain game. The quicker it gets done, the faster our brains think.
Erno Rubik found the prototype of Rubik’s Cube in 1974 in Hungary. At first, he found it to help students understand Architecture and interior design, especially the three-dimensional problems. He once said we can simplify the complexity if we know how to handle it. It was like solving a complex Rubik’s Cube.
There are some benefits of playing Rubik’s Cube. One of the benefits is we can train our brains to think faster. It is useful when we want to choose something or make a decision because sometimes, we procrastinate to make a decision.
And then, I learned something from this Rubik’s Cube. I realized about the philosophy of it that relates to our life.
The first philosophy is about managing and color. We should organize Rubik’s Cube to the same color, and there are some colors on it. It’s like our life. We should manage it but still make it colorful or joyful. Life is not always black and white.
The second philosophy is about patterns or notations. There are movement patterns to solve the Rubik’s Cube as fast as possible. It’s like our life. If we face a problem, we should find a proper solution or pattern to solve it. We can learn this pattern from our past experiences or other people's experiences.
Sometimes, life’s problems are complicated, but we can simplify it. Let’s apply the Rubik’s philosophy to your life. Manage your life, but make it still colorful and joyful. And don’t forget to find the appropriate pattern for your life’s problem.
