How to Stay Focused in a Distracted World
Since work from home time, I became addicted to technology. Oftentimes I went back to my computer or smartphone to check information updates. But, there was a dilemma, I became stuck when I consumed so much random information.
There was a calling for me to make a balance between mind and body. I couldn’t focus cause my body needs more attention as well as my mind.
Collecting so much information is good to fulfill our information storage. But the information needs to be filtered. In my opinion, we are distracted by a huge variety of information that makes us not focus.
As we know the mind and body are connected.
I once felt confused about what I did. I lost my focus cause I spent my time sitting in front of my computer more than before. I became overwhelmed. But, I couldn’t sit for too long. Even entertainment stuff on my computer doesn’t really help me to get back up.
I realize that my body needs more attention. My body needs more movement. I then add other activities like exercising cause it helps my body to feel good. I do exercise as an alternative activity. A simple exercise is also beneficial for our bodies.
There are some benefits of exercising regularly.
According to the British heart foundation channel, exercise is good for our brain. It can produce endorphins that can reduce our stress level and anxiety. Then it helps improve our memory. After that, exercise is good to prevent someone from diabetes. That’s why being active is what we need in every condition.
Our minds and body should be under control. It means that we need to give more attention to both sides: mind and body.
In short, we train our minds and body to refresh.
How about the exercise?
Okay. There are lots of exercises that you can try. Pick some of them that suitable for your need and ability. For a short duration, you can do Tabata or HIIT exercise. Let’s Google it! haha
Last but not least, keep your focus by filtering information and exercising regularly. Don’t let your mind gets overwhelmed and don’t let your body gets exhausted.
