How to Make Each Day Your Masterpiece
One day, I sat behind my window thinking about my better future. I looked outside the window. It felt calm and cool. I found myself in peace.
But my mind is trapped in the future zone. I mean, I think a lot about my future but I’m sitting in the present zone.
Then I asked, “Could I make a better future as I imagined?”
It seems like finding new fulfillment for my future. However, it’s not easy.
I live but I’m exhausted. When I wake up in the morning I used to think, “Today will be the same as yesterday.”
I think a lot about how to dramatically change my whole life.
I once read a book about a life proposal. This proposal is proposed to God. Actually, it’s not sent to God but it’s like a written commitment about our life plan. It’s about our legacy before we die. Specific and measurable life planning. It challenges us to answer these questions:
- What do you want to be?
- What is your life purpose?
- What is your value?
- What is your expertise?
- How to create a masterpiece?
At first, I couldn’t answer the questions easily. I hesitate whether I could be an expert or create a masterpiece.
Then I filled out the book based on the instruction because it’s like a workbook. We should be active while reading. It is quite interesting to me.
Even though I’m still in the process, but at least this book changed my perspective about life. I can start thinking about my masterpiece.
Yes. Masterpiece.
Sometimes, I think it’s impossible to create a masterpiece. It needs more effort. I don’t have enough tools and skills. What should I do then?
I rethink about what masterpiece means.
Actually, it’s not that complex. The masterpiece itself is created from a small piece. A small creation that is executed greatly.
“Be true to yourself. Make each day a masterpiece. Help others. Drink deeply from good books. Make friendship a fine art. Build a shelter against a rainy day.” — Coach Wooden
I find a clue. I realize that masterpiece is not always a majestic building or another enormous thing. It can be a daily creation.
Ya. We can take a small act but execute it well.
For example, if you are a seller, you can sell a product with good services. You serve customers well and even you give them an extra bonus. You give value to it so that you can be more fulfilled. You create a good relationship, you create trust. Because good relationships and trust are important in selling services. It will be better if you do it every day.
You can create your masterpiece. Even you can be an expert in selling service.
It’s appropriate for many aspects or profession. You can apply it to what you are doing right now. Maybe you are a student, an entrepreneur, a doctor, a coach, a trainer, a teacher, a writer, or even an employee.
Now, I’m aware that we don’t need to worry about our better future. We just need to execute my daily plan as well as possible. Until we can say,
“It is my masterpiece.”
Are you ready to make each day your masterpiece?
Once you think about your future, about your career, about your creation, about your legacy, you can consistently take action greatly every single day so that you can be an expert. We can build a better future. Piece by piece until it becomes a masterpiece.
