Anyway, I published podcasts on several platforms.

One of them is on Spotify. I did it a few months ago. I did not expect that my podcast will be great someday. I focus on helping youngsters by providing beneficial information, tip, or knowledge.

I want to say thank you to every listener on my podcast. I made the podcast for you.

Sometimes, learning is not always exciting because everyone has a different learning style. I think Spotify is appropriate for the auditory learning style. I provide educational content so that you can learn from anywhere by listening to my podcast. You can listen to it while on your way to school, college, or office.

Here, I want to share my opinion about why you should use Spotify and why it is growing right now.

Spotify was founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in Sweden. At first, they focused on providing streaming music. Then, they change the focus to audio by adding podcasts as the new alternative to listening.

I think Spotify is different from another similar platform. I can see that they have a strong brand as a music and podcast streaming platform.

There are some differences in Spotify. The first difference is the user interface is simple. I like the user interface. Second, it provides exclusiveness to the listener. I think the exclusiveness made the listener feels prideful. Third, the premium membership is affordable for young people. So, it helps youngsters to listen to it offline.

What is your opinion about Spotify? Can you spot the difference?

What makes me interested in Spotify is because it gives good privileges to artists and podcasters. There are some exclusive podcasts. It means that these podcasts get a special place from the company.

I see some Indonesian podcasts are on top of the chart. I’m proud of it because I’m also Indonesian.

Now, I want to tell you about the business side of Spotify. We know that Spotify is a startup company. They want to get revenue from the company. But, you probably think about where they get the income because Spotify doesn’t sell something.

One of the incomes is from Spotify premium. Based on the newsroom of Spotify, there are around 365m users, including 165m subscribers, across 178 markets. It helps the company to grow. But I’m sorry cause I can’t calculate the total income.

So, if you want to support exclusive content on Spotify, you can be a premium member. Of course, you can listen to my podcast offline.

I know it’s not easy to compete with other startups company, especially digital entertainment startups. There are digital entertainment startups out there. One of the challenges for Spotify is because it strives in the middle of the video content age.

I believe Spotify can minimize the challenge if it focuses on helping artists or podcasters to produce exclusive audio content. Some people like listening to music or podcast rather than watching videos. It can be an alternative for them, right?
