Learning and working during pandemics is different than ever before. We spend most of the time at home which forces us to mix between personal life and professional life. And we are encouraged to be more productive, no matter what the condition is.

To me working productively is not a hot issue because I always think about it every time. I used to think about an effective and efficient job. I tried any tips, tutorials, or apps to get the job done.

Productivity becomes a part of my life. I don’t want to be the busiest man but rather to become a productive man. Meaning that I use my time as well as possible. It is always interesting to improve my productivity because it makes my life easier and happier.

Now I want to share some tools; I mean apps; that can help you become more productive whether you are a student, an employee, or an entrepreneur. These apps will benefit you for a long time.

Before that, let me share with you what productivity is. As we know being productive is different from being busy. Because being busy takes our effort to do something but the result is not always as big as the effort.

Meanwhile, being productive brings us to the next level. It can be producing something that gives back in the future. We produce it by using less of the time. We get the result by doing less. Doing what matters.

Produce: making more.
Activity: by doing less.
Productivity: Making more by doing less.

Anyway, you can be more productive by using the three tools below.

Tool 1

Note-taking apps

We need note-taking in every activity. It can be in the learning process or in writing about our personal life. The note-taking apps help us to become more productive. We won’t be confused or forget something because we have taken a note. We can use an app like Evernote on smartphones.

Tool 2

Pomodoro apps

The Pomodoro is a time management technique for students or workers who wants to get things done more efficiently. It was developed by Francisco Cirillo in the late 1980s. We use a countdown timer and interval. It means we work several times; mostly 25 minutes; and take a break; mostly 5 minutes; for one session. Then repeat it four times or more. Interestingly, there are Pomodoro apps that we can use. One of them is the Forest app.

Tool 3

Project Manajement apps

We might have to handle some tasks or projects. Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the task because we can’t manage it carefully. It seems hard to manage some tasks at a time.

Fortunately, there are project management apps. One of them is Trello. I use this app to manage my project easily. It helps me a lot. It will probably help you too.

Let me give you an illustration of using these three apps. Imagine that you have three tasks. You can manage these tasks on Trello by differentiating them in different places (board). Then, use Pomodoro apps when executing the tasks. Slow but sure. After that, use note-taking apps to write important notes about the tasks.

Boom! Your productivity improves significantly.

Productivity is important for your life cause it makes your life easier and happier. You can be more productive as you want. You can also use some tools to improve your productivity like a note-taking app, Pomodoro app, and project management app. Use it until you get what you want. Keep going, comrades.
