Do you work on your dream right now? And do you track the progress?

If you are progressing, I want to say, “Keep up the good work.”

But if not, let me share with you the tips on how to measure your progress easily.

Everyone might have a dream. But sometimes the dream is not measurable. The dream is too abstract or hard to be measured. Consequently, we don’t know our progress well.

That’s why we have to know how to measure so that we will be proud of the result. As I started to write an article, I didn’t know my progress. But then, I tried to write again and again until I built my writing muscle. I realized that my writing should be measured so that I could learn something new to improve my writing skills.

And I try to use the right questions.

We can use these three questions to clarify and measure our progress.

  • Can you differentiate your present condition and desired outcome?
  • How much did you hit the target?
  • What is the evidence of the progress?

Those questions will help you improve or at least make better progress.

For example, your dream is to run a marathon. Then, after the training session, your desired outcome is better than the present condition. It means you are improving and you can accomplish the target. You can see the evidence by writing your personal record on a book. I call it a progress tracker book.

Whatever the dream or goal you have, you won’t know the progress unless your track and measure every inch of the progress. You can celebrate your little progress.

Keep going!
